Yes, both seem to be dead. Let us mourn them. *moment of silence*

I'm beyond the point of irritation and have moved on to the blissful notion of never modding another fest. Of the eleven [livejournal.com profile] hd_smoochfest submissions due yesterday, SIX people did not turn anything in, nor did they bother to contact us at all. So now I get to spend the morning emailing each and every one of the no-shows and begging for information, giving them time to respond, and then frantically searching for pinch-hitters if they don't bother to get back to us.

This fest modding thing is starting to take far too much time and energy that none of us mods have. It takes about half a minute to reply to an email, even if said email says, "OMG PLEASE GIVE ME MORE TIME MY CAT ATE MY KEYBOARD CABLE." Shit happens. Computers stop working, the weather destroys things, Muses turn vicious and won't allow you to write a word. This sort of thing has happened to all of us, so we will understand. We will not send you a ranty reply even if you have to drop out of the fest two weeks before posting begins. We are actually pretty nice most of the time. REALLY, WE ARE.

So for those of you that took the five seconds yesterday to SEND AN EMAIL and let us know the status of your fic/art THANK YOU.

I'll just be over here putting flowers on the grave of Responsibility, may it Rest in Peace.

(This post brought to you by nasty-tasting cold medicine and a distinct lack of sleep.)

First I would like to thank everyone on my list that was uber-supportive yesterday. I LOVE YOU!!! You made the irritation much easier to bear. I wrote to the morality policewoman and she replied. Although I refuse to dignify her with another response, it actually annoyed me more than her first letter. To that end I put a bit of a rant on my ff.net profile. If they ban me, then so be it. I refuse to knuckle under to blackmailing holier-than-thou bitches. OMG, I am FUMING!

Her reply )

As I said, I will not dignify her pretentious pseudo-friendly bullshit with any more of my time. But I did put this on my profile:

If she reads that she'll most likely report me, but I no longer give a flying fuck. *is indignant*

I really do like your stories and it would be a shame to take them down. Thank you, Dolores Umbridge. *readies napalm*

Most of which I will not get into today. Also, I did not comment on anyone's Anonymous Meme. If you're on my f-list, I adore you. End of commentary. Okay, I did comment on bryoneybrynn's just so she knows I don't really hate her when I tell her I do. It's just a defensive reaction from fic-inflicted pain. (Anyone reading Summer Boys knows what I'm talking about.)

Soooooo, on to the the question. I received this interesting comment from someone on fanfiction.net this morning. And I'm completely at a loss as to what to do about it.

It was well-written, friendly, concise, "I enjoyed your stories and now I'm going to fuck you over." Frankly, if I had to remove the explicit sex from my stories on ff.net there would be very little left on there. Granted, I'm breaking their "no explicit content" rules, but what the hell is the Mature rating for if not to warn people? I admit to having issues with what I consider to be freedom of speech and I have even bigger issues with people expecting me to censor myself so that their precious offspring can be sheltered from reality as long as possible. I police my own children, thank you very much, and I do not expect anyone else to do it for me. I know what they watch, I know what they read, and I know what they see. If they don't understand it, they ask me about it. I know there are millions of people out there that don't agree with that, which is fine for them. I'll be damned if I will send them an email suggesting they do otherwise. Why is it always the "too moral for my own good" assholes that have to ram their ideologies down your throat? *end soapbox*

Anyway, I don't think I will remove or change anything I have posted on ff.net. If she wants to report me, fine. Report me. It's not like my fics aren't posted all over the universe. I just really like the notification feature of ff.net. And yeah, the reviews, because I'm a comment whore. And because it's easy. I'm too lazy to bother posting at most of the other sites.

Have any of you ever been reported on ff.net? I'm actually surprised that I haven't been, because 90% of my fics are pure porn. Will they demand that I remove them or just ban me? I'm not even sure if I should reply to this chick because in my current state of annoyance it would most likely be like tossing gasoline on a fire.

*is perturbed and confused*
