I've only been allowed access to LJ for about two hours during the last forty-eight.  I don't expect my current access to remain, given how wonky it's been lately.

If it keeps fucking up, I'll most likely start posting at Dreamwidth.  I have three accounts over there:

http://cheryldyson.dreamwidth.org/
http://cheryl_dyson.dreamwidth.org/
http://dysonrules.dreamwidth.org/

(I got carried away.)

I'm also on Twitter, of course.

I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUUUUUCH!!!

*crosses fingers this will post*

WTF LJ?  WTF????

I keep getting an error code when trying to post to the Smoochfest mod account AND the Smoochfest account.

It just says:

500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR.

But it let me post here.

WHYYYYYYY?

EDIT:  Okay, it's got to be something with the fic itself.  I'm going to go over it with a fine-toothed comb, since pulling it into a dozen different software programs made no difference.  It's letting me post everything but that particular fic.  SORRY PROMPTER, YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO WAIT FOR THIS ONE.  >:(

*rearranges posting schedule AGAIN*

EDIT EDIT:  Seems to be working now, so I SUPPOSE I could have just waited it out.  Except when they were handing out patience I got tired of waiting and left...

EDIT EDIT EDIT:  Amusing quote from my 12-year-old son this morning, playing on the PS3:

"I'M BUFFY!  I'M AWESOME!  I KILL VAMPIRES FOR A LIVING!!!!"  *pause while he listens to his friend on the headset*  "That's WOMAN, for your information."

How tall are you?
In other random news, thanks to LJ FAIL I am going to duplicate the Smoochfest comm on Dreamwidth.  Does anyone know anything about DW formatting?  Because the comm looks like hell at the moment.  XD  Anyway, all the long fics are hosted offsite and I think I'll post the shorter fics and art there as a safeguard and link everything across the board.  DON'T FUCK WITH MY FEST, LJ SPAMMERS.  I have a couple of Dreamwidth accounts already (dysonrules for original fic and cheryldyson in case LJ blows up).

ALSO, if you need a Dreamwidth invite code, you can ask for them here:  http://dw-codesharing.dreamwidth.org/  (And if you have some to give away you can hand them out there, too.)

I made a comment on a recently deleted mysteriously reactivated could be disappeared again without warning community this morning, so I'm reposting it here.  What I said was:

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] khasael and [livejournal.com profile] kitty_fic  for caring enough about the members of the community to scramble like mad to try and save everything.  I find it extremely unfair of Livejournal to have created OWNERS for communities because one dramatic hissy fit by the comm OWNER can cause them to delete an entire community of collected works.

FAIL, LJ, FAIL.  This has seriously caused me to consider making shell accounts elsewhere in the event they keep coming up with bullshit rules like this.  In case you have no idea what this refers to, apparently two very ACTIVE H/D COMMUNITIES were deleted by the OWNER, despite the fact that many of the contributors did not have their works posted elsewhere, and heedless of the broken links it would leave behind from rec lists and personal recommendations.  In my opinion, such behavior is unconscionable.  In the case of an OWNER deleting the community, the other moderators have little recourse.  If there is some workaround regarding this, can someone please enlighten me?  I have several fest fics that are only hosted on fest communities and now I'm making sure I have backups all over the place, just in case the unwritten laws of fandom courtesy are ignored by the community owners.
