I realize that every year there are awesome and wonderful NEW holiday fics, but each and every year I run back to my two classics holiday "feel good" fics that just fill me with that lovely glow of bliss. It's like comfort food for the soul. This year was extra special since my darling J and I read Yorkshire Puddings at the same time while chatting on IM and squeeing over every other paragraph. XD Definitely a highlight of the season.

SO, without further adieu, here are my two holidays favourites of all time. One is Christmassy and one is New Year's-y.

Yorkshire Puddings by Karina4. Harry/Draco, PG, 14,000 words (but seems like 4,000), AU
Why I love it: This is a non-magical AU fic, but it's one of those "slice of life" stories that just makes you feel privileged to be a part of it, if only for a little while. Draco's family is the one we all wished we had and the holiday he shares with Harry is so completely normal that you agonize with Harry over wanting it (and share his joy at being a part of it for a short time). I adore everything about this fic and look forward to reading it every single year, without fail.

The Way of the World by

Why I love it: This is my very favourite "down and out" Draco fic and Harry is just lovely in this one. It's such a short fic, but packs so very much DRACO into it. I adore how Harry is just so damn HARRY and he tries to save Draco without even really being aware of it. The characterization in this fic is just LOVE.

I WISH BOTH OF THESE WERE LONGER BECAUSE I WANT TO STAY IN THEIR UNIVERSES, OKAY?
