How to Focus
Aug. 27th, 2007 11:02 amHas anyone written a book called How to Focus? There's probably a Prioritizing for Dummies, right? How about one called Stop Signing Up for Challenges, You Idiot? I think I finally overloaded myself.
I was doing okay until I jokingly suggested turning my Dramione novel into a Harry/Draco. (Thank you so much![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
starrynights110 for turning that little cinder of an idea into a blazing inferno.) It's only 51 chapters. How hard can it be? *laughs insanely*
It would be so easy. I have to do it. I just gotta, because otherwise my brain will melt from thinking about it every other minute. It will have to be changed a bit, but the main plotline can stay intact. I want to throw everything in a drawer and work on this right now!!!!!!
*hyperventilates*

Okay, I can do this. I'm gonna prioritize right now. And print this as a checklist.
1) Escorts Five - On freaking chapter ten, so finish it already!

slashfest fic due in September - Easy one, writing itself
3)hp_wintersmut fic due in October - halfway finished, having plotline issues, but no problem
4) Greenhouse Three - Won't leave me alone. I'll write one more section and then put it down. I will.
5) UST fic for Lilith - One chapter done, but it's gonna be long, so working sporadically.
6) AS/S fic - On chapter five... need to stop playing with this and concentrate on top 4 first.
7)hd_holidays fic due in November - eons away, whew! Not even thinking about this one yet.
8) Phoenix Rising rewrite. must not work on this, must not, must not, must not
9) New HD novel. One chapter written, plotline still in outline stage, only allowed to write plot items.
Sequels to work on when first seven items on list are finished:
Trelawney's Teacups
Polyjuice Pastime
Dirt
Of course, Lilith comes back in a week and will start Prompt War II. We won't think about that.
