byaghro , we decided that Wednesday is now officially Twinsday. We will be posting Twinsday drabbles for you every Wednesday until the Scamander twins start to bore us. Which should be some time in 2027, by my calculations...
So here is part one of my ongoing drabble series. LOL! Happy Twinsday!!!
Lorcan watched his brother carefully dice the salamander tail. His fingers were long and slender and gripped the knife with confidence. Lorcan’s eyes reluctantly traveled upwards, sliding over the black-clad arm and pausing where the blue-striped tie was knotted loosely around Lysander’s neck. He shook his head and nearly clucked his tongue. He had tied it for Lysander a mere two hours ago and already it looked as though his brother had picked it up off of the floor and tied it on haphazardly.
Lysander could never leave anything alone. His fingers were in constant motion, tugging at his tie, twisting in his hair, plucking at his robes, or twirling his wand. It was maddening at times.
Lorcan left off studying Lysander’s lopsided tie and moved upward over the pale throat and delicate chin. As expected, the tip of Lysander’s pink tongue poked from between his teeth as he concentrated on his task. For some reason, the sight had been bothering Lorcan more and more lately. He wasn’t sure what to make of it.
The tongue disappeared and pale blue eyes fixed on him suddenly. “You all right, Lor?”
Lorcan coughed. “I’m fine.” He looked away from his brother and back to the cauldron he was supposed to be stirring. He had lost count long ago. Damn it, the potion would be bloody ruined. Again. Because of Lorcan’s inability to concentrate on anything but Lysander.
What the hell was wrong with him?
“Are you sick?” Lysander asked and put his fingers on Lorcan’s arm. The heat of his hand seemed to burn through Lorcan’s Ravenclaw robes.
Yes, I’m starting to think I am, Lorcan admitted to himself.
