Equity Part Fifty Nine

dysonrulesAdam should have felt lethargic after the rich meal, but sitting in the car watching Stephen's hands on the wheel and the gear shift left him feeling energized. He was fairly certain he wouldn't go anywhere near his apartment tonight. He was glad he had no pets and had already let all of his plants die.
A box containing two slices of chocolate bread pudding rested in Adam's lap. Stephen had promised to use Adam's stomach as a plate when he had ordered the desserts to go. Stephen had stopped drinking at one glass of wine and Adam had only downed two beers. He wanted to be fully cognizant when they returned to Stephen's house. His boyfriend's house. Adam smiled brilliantly.
Stephen did a double take and then returned his eyes to the road. "What was that lovely smile for?"
"I think I'll write you a song," Adam replied and then winced, thinking Stephen might find the sentiment foolish or too romantic.
To his surprise, Stephen laughed. "Will you call it My Boring Banker Boyfriend?"
Adam grinned. "No. You know sex sells. I'll call it Banging My Boring Banker Boyfriend."
Stephen laughed again. "I like the sound of that. Do you think you've done enough research to write it properly?"
Adam shook his head. "Probably not. I've only had a boring banker boyfriend for a couple of hours now."
"Do you think your boyfriend will be up for more testing?"
"I hope he's interested in the banging part."
Stephen's gaze was hot with promise. "I'm sure he'll be amenable."
Adam didn't think he imagined the increase in speed. Cars on the freeway blurred past. Adam reciprocated and ended up half-straddling Stephen's lap. The steering wheel had to be gouging into his back, but he made no complaints. Stephen reached around him and turned the key to the Accessory setting before pressing the button to lower his seat back. Adam made an approving sound and settled more comfortably atop Stephen, whose hands pulled at Adam's shirt and then slipped beneath to touch Adam's skin.
The kiss deepened, became hungrier, needier. Adam panted against his mouth between biting, nibbling licks.
"Want you," Adam said softly and rocked his hips. Stephen felt heat building in his groin.
"Not here," he replied. His voice was uneven and sounded less than certain, but he did not want to come in his pants when a perfectly good bed waited only a few steps away.
"Stephen?"
The single word froze them both and nearly stopped Stephen's heart.

In Stephen's garage, the car was barely in park before he turned and dragged Adam into a kiss. Fuck, it had seemed like the longest drive ever.
