Christmas List and rambling

Okay, I finally got around to doing this, mostly so I'll actually have a list in hand when people ask what I want, instead of looking at them blankly and blurting, "Chocolate?"
More randomness. Anyone have any good fics they've recently found? I need reading material for the holiday, since I'll be four days without computer. *sob sob sob* I've read everything by lomonaaeren and alaana_fair, but I haven't really taken the time to get into anyone else since DH came out. I don't care if it's DH-compliant or not.
Edit: If you haven't posted your lists yet, GET BUSY! I only have FOUR gift lists from people on my f-list. Don't be bashful. Tis the season to be greedy.
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not — it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1) Well, yeah, CHOCOLATE. Dark chocolate only, cuz anything else is just... not dark enough. LOL!
2) Red wine. Because you can't have chocolate without wine. Well, you CAN, but why would you? Except at work, since they frown on that, for some reason. Damn them.
3) Artwork for any of my fics! Any scene, any time, any place! That would be love! In fact, any artwork featuring Draco is fine by me.
4) Anything dragon-related, snake-related, Slytherin-related, or you know, Harry Potter in general-related. I'm not picky, I have the ugliest snake necklace imaginable hanging from my rear-view, just because it's a snake.
5) Harry/Draco ficcage with loads and loads of UST culminating in a fluffy ending. Otherwise, what's the point? Bonus points for utilization of any of the following evil prompts: peaches, snow, spiral staircase, red ribbons, chariot, and Orion.
6) Purses/handbags. I take my purse everywhere I go and I use it until it's a shredded pile of leather, because I hate shopping for necessities. I only like to shop for fun things! I'm sorry, purse fanatics, but purse shopping is not fun.
7) A laptop. I have finally decided my next computer will be a super-duty desktop. Which means the laptop has been shuffled onto the "not absolutely necessary" list. I'll most likely get a reconditioned one that can only run Word. Which, frankly, is all I need, right?
8) Video games for Playstation One. You can't buy those any more, except on Ebay. Imagine!!! I have two PS1s and people should be throwing out their old video games by now, right? I just now started playing Final Fantasy One, which puts me about a decade behind everyone else on the planet. Anyway, the damn things work perfectly fine, so I keep picking up old games here and there. Oh, I really need Chrono Cross, because I got halfway through and the CD gave out on me. *sobs* I'll most likely reorder it soon.
9) I'm running out of ideas. Okay, let me think. What else do I love? Ohhhh, I know! Pens! I love love love pens. I carry six or seven at a time in my forementioned purse. I love unusual pens, especially medium point or rollerball. I actually salivate when I look at the Levenger catalog. Then again, most of you probably do! Stuff for writers there!!! Link for the confused: Levenger
10) Finally! Last one. Erm... Do some random act of kindness in December. I just love those. Doesn't have to be big. Pay for the coffee of the person behind you next time you're at the Starbucks drive-thru or something. Tape five bucks to the elevator wall with a Have a Nice Day post-it note. Take some grocery carts back inside next time you go shopping. Stuff like that. It's okay for Slytherins to do those, because they're sneaky and no one knows about them. Heh!
Oh, and my email address, for anyone that doesn't have it already... xcpublishing@yahoo.com
That's enough of that. Now for some randomness. Mikaela on threekeys posted this link. I could watch this boy eat bananas until hell froze solid. Damn. Hot boy eating fruit.2) Red wine.
