So, yesterday I went to a local bank that I only go to when I don't have time to walk to BofA and took a freaking $20 out so I could catch the bus home (not that I want to go THERE, but that's another story!) even though it meant I had to pay the ridiculous fee for the honor of using their ATM. I went inside to have one of the “tellers” in there give me change for a twenty, because, ya know, I only needed a buck. She was one of those people that was annoyed to be interrupted with whatever she was doing and she actually gave me a huffy sigh when she found out I only wanted change. So, I told her I needed a ten, five and five ones.
She opens her drawer and starts counting out a pile of money. Twenty, forty, sixty, eighty, ninety… I’m looking at the nice pile of cash and thinking what a horrific bitch this woman is and thought it would serve her right if I just flipping took it.
Then I said, “I only gave you a twenty.” Her eyes got a smidge wide and she hurriedly whipped the cash back into the drawer and counted out my "real" change. She was SUCH a freaking beyatch that she didn’t say one thing. Like, thanks for being honest and not getting my stupid bitchy ass in trouble at the end of the day!
Oh well, I guess I passed my honesty test for the year, but it was hard! Maybe she was just having a bad day, right? I'm trying to learn compassion for the evil-enhanced. Good-deficient? Niceness-challenged. Trying to think of a PC term, lol!
