WHINY POST OF WHINY

My laptop is dead.  *sobs*  My precious darling Dillon, lifeblood and near-constant connection to the precious internet, is on his last legs.  He runs for about fifteen minutes and then says, "REMEMBER ALL THOSE TIMES YOU WERE MEAN TO ME?  BLUESCREEN FOR YOU, BITCH."

Luckily, I'm near-obsessive about backing up and the few things I didn't have copied I snared the last time he let me boot up without getting in a snit.  *collapses in relief*  I sort of forgot about those seven chapters of my original novel I edited earlier this month.  That would have SUCKED to lose.  SAVE AND FORGET <---not a good policy  SAVE AND COPY 20 TIMES AND FORGET <---better policy

ANYWAY, I am now in the market for a new Dillon, who will probably have a similar and equally pornographic name.
For the uninitiated, my laptop was named after Dillon Samuels:

ANYWAY, does anyone have recommendations for laptops?  Things to stay away from?  Stuff you like, stuff you hate?

I've written nearly an entire fic on PAPER.  It's so weird.  :D
