Plagiarism???
So, my buddy Karen emails me to tell me someone totally stole the first chapter of my fic Bad Medicine. At first I thought it was maybe just similar, but as I got further into the chapter, I was like OMFG, she totally did!
I'm sort of flattered that she liked it enough to steal it, but on the other hand I'm kind of freaked. I haven't contacted the author (or anyone else) because it's fanfiction and doesn't really belong to me anyway, right? I mean, in an ethical sense it does, obviously.
Has anyone else encountered this?
